SPOT Fundraiser in the News

The people of nonprofit Saving Pets One at a Time hit the spot Feb. 19 with their Outback Steakhouse fundraiser.
SPOT saves homeless dogs and cats in North County that are at risk of being euthanized. It works with local shelters and uses its own network to find animals that are then treated, trained and fostered until a home can be found for them.
As usual, Outback proprietor Janice Kohler opened her doors to the nonprofit, and her waiters worked for tips only.
The luncheon included a silent auction, prizes and opportunity drawings. SPOT volunteer Alisa Trejo stopped by with two of the agency’s rescues, Dixie and Dakota. The puppies were on the way to socialization training to give them the best chance possible to find loving homes.
