This sweet boy, a true Border Collie in the making, was adopted! His new family has experience with the breed and currently has a female Border Collie, and is oh so happy to add Patches to the pack!
When Patches first came to SPOT from a local shelter, he was 13 lbs, emaciated, had a penetrating wound to his rear end, a broken rear leg, and two tick diseases.
We originally thought he’d been shot, but after a thorough exam at Shadowridge, it was determined he’d been attacked by another animal, and he was lucky to survive. He now weighs in a 33 lbs at 5 months old – what we originally thought was a small pup is now a normal, active, fun, silly, playful, big boy!
Karen and her family gave him a soft place to land and started him on his healing journey, and Pat and his family took the baton and got him ready for his forever home, doing a great job house training, socializing and giving him his first true experience in a loving home.
