11 Oct Rescued from the streets..
Moose is a handsome, 1 to 1½ year old, 80-pound American Bulldog. He has a very sweet disposition, knows the command “sit” and likes to get a tasty treat as a reward. He has a gentle mouth when he takes treats from you too. He rides well in the car, no anxiousness or upset tummy; just happy to be going somewhere with his adoring fans. He was found as a stray near one of San Diego county’s native American reservations, and he was hanging out and running around with other loose dogs. The lady who caught him was able to put him in her car with her dog and the rode together just fine. He was wearing a harness so he probably ran away from home, or more likely was dumped in the rural area. He was subsequently turned-in to the county animal shelter, but no one came to claim him. So, he is now in SPOT Rescue in Oceanside, CA, and he’s been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He had a bath, and although it was not totally his favorite thing, he put up with it and now we see he really is a white and brown dog. He went on a walk with another large dog yesterday, and he was happy to be out-and-about. We don’t know yet how he is with cats, or how he might do in a home with another dog, but we will be working on finding that out in the coming days, and we’ll update his info accordingly. Meanwhile…. If you’d like to provide a foster home for Moose, or if you’d like to meet him, or maybe even adopt him, please do contact SPOT. E-mail is best [email protected] if you have any immediate questions.
