09 Jan Sootsprite update from foster mom!
Sootsprite looked like a little puff of black fluff with 2 big eyes. She was timid and covered in flea dirt, and didn’t appreciate her first bath. But It didn’t take long for her to settle into a routine with me and the other foster kittens. She is one of the most social kittens i think we have had, relaxed and happy to be around people, kittens and our resident cat (even though the feeling was not mutual). Three other fosters were adopted, yet no one was interested on this sweet black little girl. It felt like weeks went by without any applications. Shanna referred a potential adopter – a home with other pets and young girl who wanted a cat she would have a connection with. Although they weren’t looking for a black cat, Sootsprite’s purrsonality shined through. She’s now called Olive – and has been the perfect addition to their family. I love that our fosters work together to be matchmakers and that this girl was able to find a her perfect kitty. Made saying goodbye to Sootsprite a little easier.
